Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Hintrigue, a storytelling party game offered worldwide by Oleh Zasadnyy, trading as Hintrigue, Heina 5/2, Apt. 2, Tallinn, 10611, Estonia. Contact us at legal@hintrigue.app or hello@hintrigue.app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

Using Hintrigue

By using Hintrigue, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 16. If you are 16 or 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian has permitted your use. You may play as a guest; creating an account is optional. Keep any account credentials and access to a signed-in provider secure.

Rooms and gameplay input

Hintrigue lets people play together in private rooms. You may provide a room display name, hint, decoy, vote, and other ordinary gameplay input. Do not use the service to break the law, infringe rights, impersonate someone, harass others, distribute malicious material, interfere with the service, or attempt to access another person’s account, room, or data without permission. We may limit or end access where reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or our legal obligations.

V1 is not a public or persistent content platform: it does not offer public posts, uploads, chat, custom decks, player-triggered generation, or a broader content-sharing model. If we add those features, we will publish and apply separate rules and safety controls first.

Subscriptions and purchases

Hintrigue Pro may be available through the App Store or Google Play. The store shows the price, billing period, renewal, cancellation, and refund information before you purchase. Store terms govern the transaction and store-managed refunds. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store where you bought it. Deleting your Hintrigue account does not itself cancel a store subscription.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Hintrigue, including game content and features, when reasonably necessary. We will give notice where required by law. You may stop using the service at any time and can request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

Consumer rights, warranties, and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. Except for those mandatory rights, Hintrigue is provided as available and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for intentional misconduct or where mandatory law says otherwise.

Platform terms and disputes

When you download the iOS app, Apple’s applicable standard licensed application end user licence agreement and App Store terms also apply. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Hintrigue except as required by its terms or law. Google Play terms apply to Android purchases and distribution. These Terms are governed by mandatory law that applies to you; Estonian law otherwise applies. You may contact us first at legal@hintrigue.app. Nothing here removes your right to bring a complaint or claim in a forum available under mandatory consumer law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, service, or business reasons. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice where required. Continuing to use Hintrigue after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, except where a different action is required by law.
